CM Manohar Lal has approved the establishment of 108 new English Medium Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary Schools and 1000 Government Model Culture Primary Schools (Bag Free Schools) in the state. The admission process in these schools will be on first come first serve basis. There are 23 Government Model Culture Senior Secondary Schools in the state and 418 Bag Free Schools are already in operation. There will be a separate cadre of teachers for these schools and they will be selected on the basis of screening from the teaching staff of existing government schools. A separate transfer policy of teachers will be prepared for these schools. In order to boost the level of education in the state, Model Culture Senior Secondary schools running in every district will be linked with CBSE, so that the level of studies can be changed rapidly.

These schools will have labs of Physics, Biology, Math, Computer and Chemistry. Swimming pools, skating rinks, basketball, digital and computer libraries will be built. Modern gardens etc. will also be built. In this regard, on Thursday, CM Manohar Lal, along with Education Minister Kanwar Pal Gurjar, Additional Chief Secretary of Education Department, Dr. Mahavir Singh and other top officials of the department held a deep brainstorm in Chandigarh.

This will be charged

While students from 1st to 5th grade will be charged a one-time entry fee of Rs 500, for classes from 6th to 12th it will be Rs 1000. Monthly fee of Rs 200 from students of classes 1 to 3, Rs 250 for classes 4 and 5, Rs 300 for classes 6 to 8, Rs 400 for classes 9th and 10th, and Rs 500 for classes 11th and 12th. Will be taken Apart from basic facilities such as smoke detectors, fire fighting equipment, CCTV, solar power panels and landscaping, all these culture models provide digital facilities such as digital classroom, projectors, interactive whiteboards, LCDs, digital podiums, cloud based e-learning initiatives for school students, Wi-Fi and biometric attendants will be equipped with the system.

Till now, due to lack of electricity in schools, smart studies could not be done. Because electricity was not available many times during school time. Now this will not happen. Solar panels will be installed on the roof of every school. Through these, electricity will be available in schools. If more electricity is ready in the school, the schools will also be able to sell this electricity to the electricity corporation. Not only this, all the electrical appliances running in schools will run through solar panels.

These schools will be completely bag free: The new primary model culture schools will be completely bag free. Lockers will be made here for the students. Copy books etc. will be found here. Their number will be 40 to 50 in each district. These will include smart TVs, world class classrooms, separate buildings etc. Admissions will start in all schools from September 1, 2020. While classes will start from 2021. Only skilled teachers in English will be appointed in these schools, so that students do not face any difficulty in getting education and they can compete with the students who are receiving world class education.
